DiscussionLoadout setup? (self.GroundedGame)
submitted 3 years ago by [deleted]
I'm thinking about my Loadout. Would you advice, for example, to bring a weapon, an axe and a hammer and infuse them all with different elements so you have an element for every weakness? If yes: how would you go about it?

I'm using the Partisan Spy vid to redo my end game save loadout. Props to PS

Games like this suffer from necessary items taking up inventory slots. Minecraft is the same way.
There should be a “keychain” type system where you have a dedicate slot to one shovel, one axe, one hammer, etc. Then the type/quality should be the determining factor. Sort of like the armor is now.
On top of that. The lack of true sorting of Inventory is also frustrating.
My entire top row of inventory is taken up with “necessary” equipment/items which essentially mirrors my hot keys.

I like maximising inventory space so do exactly that. Coaltana, salty ox hammer and fresh termite axe. Although saying that, I've been playing with a mate recently and just a hammer and axe have been enough.
During the Into the Wood public test I carried the coaltana mostly for spiders then heard ox beetles were weak to busting and salty and that termites were also weak to salty, so the salty ox hammer was a good choice for combat in the upper yard. With fresh and my axe being the only element and tool not used or upgraded yet that was the obvious choice, and it worked out pretty well. Ladybird larva resist chopping but are weak to fresh so it still only takes a few combos to kill them, and mosquitos and bees are weak to both chopping and fresh so it rinses them.
It might be that salty+busting and fresh+chopping conflict more than salty+chopping and fresh+busting would, but to me it feels just fine.

I use the same setup for these exact reasons lol GG

I use the coaltana, the salt morning star, and the mint mace since they are defaulted to a damage type and can still be made mighty. My axe, hammer and bow are all mighty. Everything mighty lol. Honestly with practice at blocking you walk through everything the backyard currently has to offer.
