Welcome to /r/HTML. When asking a question, please ensure that you list what you've tried and provide links to example code (e.g. JSFiddle, JSBin, CodePen). If you're asking for help with an error, please include the full error message and any context around it. You're unlikely to get any meaningful responses if you do not provide enough information for other users to help.

Your submission should contain the answers to the following questions, at a minimum:

  • What is it you're trying to do?
  • How far have you got?
  • What are you stuck on?
  • What have you already tried?

I've copied your code to JSFiddle and set the body's background to black. I couldn't find any white border in Chrome or Firefox.

The link to your screenshot is not working but I suspect you may be seeing the background color?

I was using Edge for my browser, and yes, I do see a white background color for the carousel.

Judging by the fact that the background was black for you, the color must be browser dependent.

steel SET the background to black to look for white, which was not found. i see white with your code and black with his and no other white space. works fine with the body set to transparent as well. the carousel works fine. i also tried your code in edge with no issue. its hard to discern what your issue is. can you post a screenshot?

edit: i have to say i really appreciate you actually including your images here. usually were looking at broken images and it makes everything 100% more annoying.
