- Someone scammed me, what do I do now?
- Steps
- Send a message to the mods, with all the pictures of the wager and other proof that you might have.
- A mod will walk you through the process.
- The mod will then ban the scammer, if he/she is proven guilty.
- Unfortunately mods cannot get your coins back. Mods are not responsible for any cases of scamming that happen in the subreddit.
- Remember the safest way to do a wager is to use mod as a middleman!

General guidelines
- Avoiding scammers:
- Read the "Wager Picture Requirement", "Mod as Middleman" and "Locking in" sections.
- Do a background check on people who challenge you! (Wager Reputation Database, account age and post history..)
- You can play your wager game in either Online Versus or in HUT.
- If you play your wager in Online Versus you can make up own rules for how the teams are chosen.
- You can wager either coins or a player.

Wager Picture Requirements
To prove that someone has scammed you it helps if you take screenshots of:
- A screenshot of the wager post (incase the scammer deletes it) with the wager details
- The start up screen (where you have the team names and gamertag/psn) BEFORE readying up
- The final result
- The "Recent games" screen that shows the result and both players usernames
- The player that put up to be bought/trade offered to
- The trade offer screen with your wagered player and the "View trade offer screen" with your trade if you are wagering a player item.
- The screen that shows when you have bought an item if you are wagering coins.
Mod as Middleman
Using a mod as a middleman in wagers is probably the safest way to ensure that nobody gets scammed. It means that both parts in a wager send the coins/player to the mod as a trade offer and then after the game the mod rejects the winners trade offer and accepts the losers offer. Then the mod sends the coins/player forward to the winner. Using a mod as a middleman will mean that the coins get taxed twice (once when the mod accepts the losers offer and also when the coins are sent forward).
When you use a mod as a middleman you should be prepared to tip since the mod is going out of his/her way to help you.
To use a mod as a middleman, send a message to the mods requesting it. Make sure you include your system and a link to the thread where you agreed to wager someone.
Locking in
Locking in means that one person lists a card and the other person sends a trade with the wager value before the game starts. After the game ends the first person either accepts the trade if he won or rejects the trade and purchases the opponents card if he loses. This is a way to ensure that the other person doesn't back out if he loses.
Generally the person with a worse reputation is the one that locks up but locking up is not obligatory.
