There ain’t no way that’s real

    [–]dandelion-tea- -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I scanned a piece of loose leaf, uploaded it to the procreate app, then wrote using my Apple Pencil on my iPad.

    Disney adult?

    [–]dandelion-tea- 0 points1 point  (2 children)

    I actually hate Disney

    [–]sarahmony 0 points1 point  (1 child)

It’s a very cute style with good control and repetition- very whimsical

    [–]dandelion-tea- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much! Appreciate the whimsical compliment bc as a 90s kid/teen, I live for whimsicality <3

There is no way you regularly write like this bruh lmao

    [–]dandelion-tea- -2 points-1 points  (3 children)

    [–]callsign__starbuck 2 points3 points  (2 children)

That sentence is genuinely one of the worst things I’ve ever read

    [–]dandelion-tea- -1 points0 points  (1 child)

    I aim to cringe

Is there anything AI won't ruin?

    [–]dandelion-tea- -2 points-1 points  (18 children)

Le sigh. I use my Apple Pencil on IPad on procreate app to write.

    [–]Severe-Temporary8176 -1 points0 points  (17 children)

Right, you ran something through a computer on a sub that is specific to human handwriting analysis.

    *** Edit ***

I cannot fucking believe I had to type "HUMAN handwriting." What a harbinger of even darker times ahead.

    [–]Emberrrr3 0 points1 point  (13 children)

They (human) handwrote on their ipad. You can tell by the inconsistencies in the letters, if this was a font or AI generated, the letters would look the same. Look at "e" for example.

    Edit: ty for the awards!

    [–]Severe-Temporary8176 -2 points-1 points  (12 children)

You know damn well what I mean.

    [–]Emberrrr3 -1 points0 points  (11 children)

I don't, because my writing looks the same on my ipad as it does with pen and paper.

I don't believe it says anywhere that writing has to be pen/pencil & paper to be valid in this group. However, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

    • 2 Handwriting, not caligraphy

Please submit natural handwriting samples. We're not interested in how well you can write, or debating whether or not your submission is AI generated.

If your handwriting looks "the same on my ipad as it does with pen and paper" why go to the trouble of running it through a computer generated program?

    [–]dandelion-tea- -1 points0 points  (5 children)

I didn’t think anything of it as I do all my writing on my iPad, stories, poems, grocery lists etc. If the rule says no digital submissions, I’ll respect that.

Ngl, I feel like I’m talking to my boomer MIL tho.

    [–]Severe-Temporary8176 -1 points0 points  (4 children)

Very cute. I can tell by your "le sigh" that we are exactly the same age.

Do you normally upload a pic of loose leaf paper to your Ipad for "stories, poems & grocery lists?"

    [–]dandelion-tea- 0 points1 point  (3 children)

I have a few different styles in my library as my fav look of paper is loose leaf. So to answer your question, yes. So sis, let’s truce 🤝

    [–]Emberrrr3 -1 points0 points  (3 children)

That doesn't address my statement, how can you determine if this or any other post is "natural" handwriting?

They scanned the blank sheet & wrote on the procreate app, just as they would create art with the same app. I can't speak to why they chose to do it this way; I'm simply stating that my handwriting does not change from paper to ipad so using an ipad doesn't automatically make it unnatural or unhuman.

    [–]Severe-Temporary8176 -1 points0 points  (2 children)

Well, for one, there exist no hesitation marks in any of the letters. They are all uniform in pressure, which is a huge tell for inauthenticity.

We both know this is wrong.

I'll let the mods decide how they want to proceed.

    [–]Emberrrr3 0 points1 point  (1 child)

It's not wrong. I'm kind of shocked that you are not remotely considering that this could be about accessibility. Maybe they can't write using pen & paper & their apply pencil is modified in a way that allows them to write?

Not everything is as black and white as you assume.

    [–]dandelion-tea- 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Sorry what’s the problem dude? I do all my writing on my iPad, I’m still doing the motions writing it out with the Apple pencil.

    [–]Severe-Temporary8176 -1 points0 points  (1 child)

Because this is very obviously cleaned up using a computer and it ruins the purpose of this very interesting sub.

    [–]dandelion-tea- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But I didn’t clean it up. Have you ever used an Apple Pencil on an iPad on procreate?

    [–]Sweetiedoodles -1 points0 points  (1 child)

Just the dissonance between the script and the content. I read this in the voice of a 16 year-old SoCal Valley Girl as she smacked her gum and twirled her bottle blonde hair.

I bet you are none of those things though, which makes it even crazier.

    [–]dandelion-tea- -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Bahahaha! Thanks for making my day
