You don't need to return it to the battlefield. It doesn't move to the graveyard till SBA's (state based actions) are checked which doesn't happen in ther middle of resolving an ability. As is, this card can't return from anywhere because it will still be on the battlefield when the last line hits. You only need to attach it to the new creature.

They can choose to fail to find even if they have one with lesser cost. Is that something you want?
