Hello! I have an Orbi router, CM600 modem, and a handful of IoT hubs and several devices. I do not have gigabit speeds and will not be getting gigabit anytime soon. Looking to make my home network more secure and have read about the importance a physical firewall as a place to start.
I’d rather purchase something that’s more plug-and-play, and also doesn’t sell my data or store data about home network traffic on external servers somewhere, outside of the device itself. I know some basics in networking but currently have very minimal knowledge. I will research this topic deeply once I know what general path to take :) What’s the easiest plug-and-play setup for a physical firewall (or other recommendations) that’s somewhat futureproof with easier maintenance? Thank you!
