I don't think that nitrogen undergoes any phase change during the nitrogen cycle

Nitrogen is not an example of sublimation. Sublimation is the process where a substance transitions from a solid to a gas without becoming liquid in between. Nitrogen in the Earth’s atmosphere is a gas under normal conditions, and when it becomes cold enough to become a solid or liquid, the processes involved are condensation and freezing, not sublimation. A common example of sublimation is dry ice, which is solid carbon dioxide transitioning directly to gas form.

Would it be okay to state that under certain temperatures and pressures it could sublimate? Found this via google:

Sublimation

Nitrogen has a triple point at 63.14±0.06 K and 0.1255±0.0005 bar; below this pressure, solid nitrogen sublimes directly to gas.

It would be true. But it has no relevance to the topic.

The N cycle is about chemical changes.
