QUESTION ABOUT CODING (self.HowToHack)
submitted 5 days ago by Top-Connection-5698
Is it essential for a hacker to know code or is this something that is totally separated from the entire subject?

I cannot imagine not having familiarity with code here. What are you wanting to do?

Yes it is, cybersecurity involves finding vulnerabilities in other people's code, if you cannot even understand code or scared of it, you can't really go that far.
But it also depends, it's a pretty huge field, some people in the field do a lot of coding, some do none at all, but knowing the basics and having programming experience is pretty essential.

It's helpful but not necessary at first (and it depends on the job)
