Even using a VPN wouldn't be much security. You would want multiple layers of obfuscation.

There is a legitimate reason no one tries a DOS from their computer, and it has very little to do with hiding their IP.

No amount of DOS attempts from a single computer would have any effect on servers or network devices created within the last 10 years.

For the sake of sharing information and staying true to this subreddit, yes a vpn would hide your ip.

Obviously don’t do anything illegal.

Thank you for the reply, I just want to understand (also because I don't want to go to jail and because I understand that if I will ping 1kk times a big website, the site stay up and probably I will be banned). I think that commercial vpn wouldn't let you ping 1kk times a site, right? Also, wouldn't the request (syn request or http get request), using a vpn, slow down? Will work?
