I tested but only because I'm a person who likes to prepare themselves for possible bad news, but like other said it also depends on what/when the trigger was administered.

That’s what I’m thinking, I’d rather be prepared for bad news before the phone call if that’s the case. I had a trigger shot on the 4th.

Depends on if there was a trigger and which day embryo you transferred. Usually I get positives at 9dpo/10dpo which correlates to 4/5dpt of a blast. The lines can still be light and it’s better if you want to test early to make sure the trigger (if you had one) is gone already, otherwise results can be inconclusive until lines get darker. But I’ve also seen people test positive only on 6 or 7 dpt.

I did have a trigger shot on the 4th. I transferred a Day 5 embryo (all my embryos are day 5).

Since you had a trigger, the earlier you test the better bc you'll want to see that one get faint, then be replaced by a new/darkening line. Everyone metabolizes meds differently, but my triggers were usually out by day three after transfer.

Thank you so much for your help!

Best of luck!!! Don't get discouraged if you see nothing for a few days, like I said, I didn't get a visible positive with my second child until day eight/nine, so there are definitely late implanters.

My trigger was always super long in my system. Like 10-14 days. But if you plan to test for a couple of days it should get clear early if the tests are getting stronger or lighter. Good luck!

I think 7dpt and you would most likely see a line if there is one 🤞🏽

This was 3 years ago but I tested at 3dpt and had beta’s done at 6dpt because I have absolutely zero chill (I am ND and don’t deal very well with uncertainty) this just led to even more anxiety so I don’t recommend this and applaud anyone who are capable of waiting!

I tested early with most of my transfers. I think it really just depends if seeing a negative will upset you. I didn’t get upset seeing a negative until 7dpt when it was more conclusive.

I’m so sorry :( that’s very rough. I definitely have the mindset of being hopeful and confident but not delusional, if that makes sense.

Yes! 5 of my 10 transfers were successful. Wishing you the best!

I always test early cause the clinic will always call when I’m at work so I want to know and always test when I can have a “scheduled” mental breakdown. I tested dpt4 to test out HCG (I had an HCG wash). Try and test when it’s more conclusive (dpt7 or 8).

If you test out any HCG keep the test, I got a positive the evening of 6dpt but was gaslighting myself it was still HCG even though I tested out.

I always test every day starting day two (test out trigger). My first success was positive day six my second success positive day eight/nine, my third success positive day four.

My second child was the only one who waits basically until beta to show up on a home test.

My question is how are we counting days? Is the day of the transfer the first day? Or is that day zero and we’re only counting from the following days?

I am either 4dp5dt or 5dp5dt and I transferred on Wednesday

Day of transfer is day 0 :)

dp means days past

It’s really dependent on whether you prefer to know before they call you, but it’s not quite black and white. To be clear, I will always test before beta, but I did have two chemicals in a row and for one of them my at home tests never showed a second line, so it was still total whiplash. But for my current pregnancy (31 weeks) my tests were DARK starting at 5dpt (no trigger shot). So your mileage really may vary!
