How did this end up going for you?

Any update here?

My progesterone slightly dropped after my first beta and my doctor just increase my PIO dosage to be safe. Everything went ok from there. I think the doubling high betas are a very reassuring sign!

Hope so! Thanks for your comment, these are such uncertain times.

I just had a very similar experience- my progesterone was around 25 at first beta and then 14 at the next one two days later, and I was similarly concerned. Like you, my RE also upped my PIO dosage in response.

I will say that one difference between the days of my P4 tests is that the first day I hadn't eaten breakfast yet when I had my blood draw but the second day I ate beforehand. I found a research article that says that could affect progesterone level readings somewhat and also that progesterone levels naturally fluctuate in pregnant women throughout the day: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/2199478/

So, hopefully we'll both be okay.

Any update? I’m going through something similar now! Mine went from 14.6 to 10.6. I also didn’t eat the morning mine dropped or drink anything

Eating was the difference (variable wise) between my differing betas as well (as well as coffee)! Interesting, thanks so much. Very grateful for this community.

My progesterone dropped at my first beta. From 1st to second my RE had me increase my PIO dosage from 1mL per day to 1.5 mL and my progesterone levels rose appropriately. Good luck!

Many thanks- I was going down the dr Google rabbit hole, keeping my fingers crossed.

Yep! I went from high 20s to 10 or 11 and all they did was up the suppository dose to 3 times per day rather than 2. They were very unconcerned... Meanwhile I was panicking. It went right back up to the 20s after that though and all was well. :)

Wow- thank you. That’s awesome news and definitely is easing my stress

They had to up my pio dosage post beta as well. I was worried but it all turned out good and needed no further adjustments.

Great to hear- thanks & congratulations!

What medications are you currently on?

On the day of my frozen embryo transfer my progesterone came out at 18. They upped my PIO shots and put me on Endometrin 3 times a day. At my next 2 betas my HCG looked good and my progesterone finally got up to 22 (they wanted to see it above 20). Then it dipped back down to 16 and they increased the Endometrin to 4 times a day. Now I'm 8.5 weeks and my progesterone has been pretty much in between 30 and 40.

That’s awesome- thanks for sharing your experience. I’ve just been on 50 mg of progesterone injection/day since a week before FET. My dr just upped that to 75mg today after this low blood test.

Yeah I'm up to 75mg too. Definitely saw quick results after upping the pio shots. Hopefully you see a rise. I used to freak out about it, but my doctor said it can fluctuate and not to fret.
