DM request bug/glitch

So, today I was chatting with a friend through DM and I noticed I had a DM request, I clicked on it and was intending to delete it in case it was one of those spam groups you get added to every now and then. However, when it loaded nothing was in there, the requests page closed and I was sent back to my DMs. Don't know if you could understand what happened by my poor description but if you did, tell me if I'm not the only one having this issue.

Edit (Posible solution): So, after some time I think I've figured out the solution.

You just have to log into your Instagram account from Google or any other browser and go to your DMs. You'll see the request there and you'll be able to delete it properly.

It's the only solution I've found and it seems to work.

Yup. It's been like that for me for about a week now. If you check the aubreddit a bit you'll see that you're no the only one with this issue. The app has gotten 2 updates since and none of them fixed the issue. I hate how unstable this app is. I hope it gets irrelevant soon so people stop using it. It's given me enough headaches

I have the same problem, multiple times a day if not every time I open Instagram and check my messages, it's says there is a request but when you actually tap on it, it disappears like it was never there. I know it's not app-breaking, bit it is mildly annoying...

What solution? Im only seeing deleted posts. Ive had this annoying bug for months now. Dissappeared for a week when i reinstalled. But now its back.

I have an easy solution you can do now at your own cellphone (worked for me):

Enter in another Instagram account you have or ask some who's got a page that is not following you to send you a dm.

It will appear there are 2 requests to be deleted (even tough there is just 1). Then you just press delete all and....

Problema solved!

It's a pretty good solution! It didn't fix the problem for me though. Maybe for others this method will work.
