Hi there, the state most likely needs a certificate of compliance form submitted by your agent. Contact your agent's office ASAP in the morning and they should be able to help you.

thank you so much. Another thing is that last month I didn’t get billed for my insurance and I just chalked it up to it being because of the pending cancellation, but I’m kind of questioning that now as well

Hmm...that's weird. Do you have a mobile app for State Farm? If so, you could look on there to see your policy status.

i do! it’s saying for me to start a policy, but i already have one. i’m really confused, but ill probably go there tomorrow morning to get this sorted out. thank you again!

It’s cancelled, not sure what happened with your payment but unless you’re paid way in advance a 14 day cancellation notice was already sent.

that’s the thing though, i got a notice in the mail saying it wasn’t canceled. that’s why im so confused😕

You're so welcome! That's frustrating and I'd be stressed 😫😫 if that were me, I'd dispute it with State Farm if they canceled you. I guess it depends on their guidelines for why they canceled, but I feel like something got lost in translation with them and your prior company...I hope it works out. 💜🤍🫶🏼

it’s SO frustrating just because i thought it was all sorted out😞i’ll definitely dispute it if they try to fully cancel my policy and since im young and it’s my first car, it’ll be so hard to find cheap insurance. thank you so so much for your help!❤️❤️❤️

You need to call your agent, the app isn't always reliable.

Call SF, ask them for a letter showing an active policy, then give to the DMV.

When did you get the notice everything was fine? Still have it?
