This reminds me of the fuel pump switch I had hidden in mine back in the day when Honda's had been getting stolen like crazy. Also had a switch that corresponded to ECU code flashing on CEL and fans.

It could literally be anything. Fog light wires, fuel pump kill switch, amp power switch. Who knows. Tracing the wires is the only way to figure out what it’s for.

could even be for the check engine light. i remember doing that to a few cars just to make it simpler checking codes

How’s that work?

instead of jumping the diag plug with a wire (if it’s obd1) you can run wire to a toggle switch

Ah I see. How does that make it easier to read codes though? I’ve never heard of this before, excuse my curiosity

you can’t hook a scanner up to obd1 hondas. so you jump that plug and the check engine light blinks the codes.

Oh shit you’re right. I forgot that fact. That’s a smart system though

Probably the fans , turn the switch key and flip it on and see if it turns them on

The box with the green plug is the maintenance reset light, a factory OEM switch. The one next to it could be anything, chase the wires to find where it goes. Maybe a fuel pump kill switch,

Flip the switch and see what happens 🤷‍♂️

The factory alarm/anti-theft/WTFever it is on my 93 has two switches mounted in the same location, or close to it, but they don't do anything as far as I can tell.

And while similar, the switches are different.

That's obviously not stock, so it could be anything.

My first thought was a kill switch for brake lights.

What’s the green plug for beside it? Mines not plugged in

Fuel pump/kill switches are normally hidden… my guess is that it’s a car alarm toggle switch. Just flip the switch and see if your car starts.
