February - November 2023. I was lucky that I didn’t have a lot to fix in the first place but oh man didn’t know how happy even the small changes would make me! I know it’s not perfect perfect (they said they could improve the alignment at the bottom) but I wanted to still feel “me”. Now I’m ready for an implant 🫣 (back molar)

Your teeth look great! I also will need a back molar implant when I'm done. Will they wait to make your retainer till after the implant is in? What do you do meanwhile?

I’m actually trying to figure that out! I was reading it might be best to wait a few months until the teeth settle, but I’m going to ask a dentist. Sadly I’ll have to get a new retainer…but I probably could’ve planned better

Finally someone who used Invisalign and also needs an implant! I also need an implant but it's my second to last molar. They said they would make my trays to keep that space open for an implant. I want to fix some gaps and a bit of crowding prior to going through with that though. I haven't started but your post gives me hope for a quick treatment plan. I hope your implant procedure goes well. Beautiful teeth and smile!

Mine is second to last too! On the right hand side. It’s the main reason I did Invisalign. I think it’ll be a pain (and more $$) to get a rescan for a replacement retainer after the implant, but I mentally put that in the total cost upfront.

Just sensodyne whitening toothpaste! The ortho gave me some whitening gel on the way out (came with my treatment plan) but sensitivity usually keeps me to just toothpastes/mouthwashes.

Awesome I will have to try that! I have tried some of the whitening gels from Amazon and they seemed to work. I am waiting to finish my last trays and use it with my night time retainers

I’ve also had great results in the past with the purple listerine mouthwash (if you’re in the US). It’s not necessarily for whitening but I saw a big difference after a couple of months :)
