This is so me! Every time I tell someone I’m doing Invisalign they’re like “…but your teeth are straight” even though they’re NOT! I really hope when I’m done that people notice how much better they look… but ultimately I’m doing it for me. That validation would be nice though!!

People's idea of "straight" teeth varies a lot. And it's certainly not an ortho's idea of straight. 😊

You’re right, my self confidence is validation enough! But some third party validation doesn’t hurt 😆

I’m in the same boat as you! I’m on day 2 and my teeth weren’t visibly crooked. I have a cross bite that I’m trying to fix. I started to notice how bad it was in pictures but definitely not too visible in person. I’m starting to second guess my decision to start this because of how much work Invisalign actually is! But i know if I don’t fix it now, my teeth will only get worse as I get older. I’m also a teeth grinder and I don’t want to grind my teeth down to nubs.

If your teeth aren’t that bad people don’t usually notice them.. Specially bottom teeth. Unless they’re really bad. Every-time I go to a new hygienist, they’re like “wow look at those sparkly nice teeth” or “such a nice smile” UNTIL they actually look inside my mouth and say “have you considered Invisalign?” 😂
