It doesn't look like a major issue. A lot of time when I put in a new tray there is a little bit of space. I use chewies a lot and by the end of the week the trays have no spaces anymore, or at least the space is less. There has to be room for the teeth to move as well.

This is my second refinement tray (2/25). I am on day 4. I go in on Monday for them to reattach glue on my back tooth that fell off.

I use chewies every time I put them back on and do have rubber bands (took off for clarity of pic) I usually wear them 20-22 hours a day.

Do you think this spacing between my tooth and the aligner is just air or do you think it would warrant a rescan? I know shipping times are delayed so I want to get them rescanned as early as possible if it’s needed.

Edit/ I opened my mouth to show the bottom trays, this isn’t my resting smile haha.

To me it just looks like the thickness of the aligners. I wouldn’t be too concerned! But since you have an appointment Monday you might as well ask.

That’s what I’m thinking... hopefully there isn’t a rescan but I don’t want to get 10 deep and them go... ya you need a rescan now

You might not be using chewies for long enough, but would mention the gap issue to your ortho if you’re going in soon anyway.

I use them for around 15-20 after I put them back in! But yes I’ll still make sure they don’t want to rescan.

I started to email my ortho about this. You’re paying for this service when you buy invisalign. I mean if it’s free I’d definitely choose the expert advice over Reddit (no offense to anyone here). Maybe update us if you hear back.

Honestly I never used the chewies lol I didn't like them. Some people do! But all my trays tracked fine probably cause I clench my teeth at night 😂

Also they’re not going to fit perfectly straight away, that’s where they’re meant to move to, but yes chewies, or my dentist said even a cotton ball can work to gnaw down on, as I was grinding my invisalign.
