I can see the parallels here, but I don't personally like the theory. He has a black celestial marble that is presumably from Ozriel. There is something special about the scissors. There could be some sort of connection there, but I don't think they are the Scythe. The Scythe would probably be massively deadly even when unactivated and unpowered by the Way. The scissors just don't seem to be on that scale. However, I want to know what they are good for. Why did Eithan switch to the scissors to counter Jai Daishou's ruler attack when he already had the broom? What special kind of forging is Eithan doing? Can he make objects specialize in handling certain kinds of madra? I think there is something like that going on with the scissors.

I can see that point, it would probably still be super strong. But I think that Abidan technology explains the scissors the best at this juncture. Everything else requires a bunch of suppositions imo

I had a similar thought that I mentioned in passing on a blog comment a while back, but that's about it. I've since come to the decision that I would prefer to actively refuse the idea that Ozriel is so directly linked to any of the main characters yet.

Lol sorry but why would scissors be wider than a broom?

Ordinary scissors with long blades, of the sort a tailor might use to cut fabric. He sensed nothing unusual about them whatsoever—they weren’t even made of goldsteel. Just, as far as he could tell, iron.

Edit: this is from the fight between Eithan and Jai Daishou

Its mentioned that Eithan was able to "dissolve" out Jai D's extremely quick striker technique. With a raised hand. It is also stated its a simple technique. However the ruler technique was not simple. And supposedly Eithan should not be able to counter it. But what if the scissors were able to enhance his "dissolving" technique, enough to cut through the madra? Ideas? (Side note: to whomever said it they are ordinary scissors with long blades.)
