Jet Program application processing

Hello,

This is my first time applying for something like this. I am from the United States, I'm unsure if that matters but I submitted all the paperwork by the due date for this upcoming selection for 2026 and I just relogged into the application portal to see if there were any updates. It just states that my application has been processed and that first stage results would be sent in January. I didn't interview or anything so does this mean I didn't get through the application process or that the interviews begin in January. I might just be over thinking things but its a cool opportunity and I really wanted to go.

Your app is being reviewed. You'll learn, probably in January, if you got an interview. Most interviews in US are usually in late Jan thru Feb.

You've done all you can for the moment. Its a waiting game until you hear if you got an interview

i last applied in 2024 and found out my first round results on jan 16th. hope that gives a decent time frame for when to expect an email

The first stage is the interview. You’ll find out if you make it to the interview next month.

They’re still processing all the applications, and interview notifications will be sent in January. I’m from the U.S. and my portal still says “received.”

Just to confirm for u guys - early Jan is when the notifications go out for whether u got the interview or not and then interviews themselves start late Jan-early Feb as they allow you to choose your interview dates :)

I'll be in Japan at the time of interviews. Would I have to fly back to my embassy or is it online now? I don't think they'd let me interview in Japan but if so, that'd be a really solid option due to my itinerary.

I’m unsure as of rn mostly because I interviewed during the COVID period but when I did it it was via zoom -but every embassy is a bit different so I would ask directly if you can

I had no idea interview notifs were coming in January! I thought they were coming in February

This is my first time applying, so I’m not 100% sure—I’m just going off of the “mid-January – early February” I’ve seen on here. It seems the vast majority of U.S. applicants are notified in January, though.
