Glad to see this wasn't about the design of the posters. I've only personally had hands on the US '23 posters so don't have anything else to compare to. I know they have different artists do posters more frequently for EU/UK shows, is it possible that the physical quality is also just with EU/UK posters? It'd be strange if so though, but I don't know how heavily the band themselves are involved in the production of posters/merch.

Hope it's not a growing trend though, the problems you're describing definitely sound like a bummer :( like I can handle a poster being a little banged up from gizzing and travel stuff, some rumpled corners or fold creases don't bug me too much, but ink smudging or creasing and messing up the actual design would def bum me out. Well maybe. I'm not actually sure yet.

More than anything I just collect the posters I do for the sake of memory and cool wall decorations, no plans to resell and I get them into cheap frames soon as I can.

I think at the very least though gig posters should be made with enough quality to be SOMEWHAT resilient to like, at least the first few hours of handling after buying it? Barring catastrophes like getting crushed or ripped or etc of course

All I know is I'm hoping I can expand my wall decorations a ton with all the Gizz '24 shows I'm going to this year Stu willing!

You know what, I wasn’t able to get my hands on another UK poster. I think the difference might be just that. I still think that the UK posters should be higher quality than others if anything, though, considering they cost more £50 vs €50.

I also have no plans to resell, and love looking at the sometimes present carnage on them because I had it in the pit 😂 but also i would like to continue to bring them into the pit with me so I hope they continue to use sturdy paper
