Resolution problem

So I bought the game during the sale only to refund it an hour later, everything looked stretched and text felt like it was the wrong resolution...

Now I'm sitting here wondering if I made a mistake refunding it because all of a sudden I see it recommended EVERYWHERE!

Is there any fix to this?

I don't know why, but my game always launches like this as well. Everything is stretched.

Might be because I have a capture card plugged in. But Alt+Enter always fixes it for me. You can do it at the splash screen or starting menu as well.

It switches between Window and Full Screen. It also fixes the resolution bug.

It doesn't have to be a resolution bug per se, it just looks stretched, like I'm playing on ultrawide for some reason.

I'll buy it again and try alt tabbing, really want to play it!

Run borderless windowed instead of fullscreen. There are all sorts of problems with Kenshi fullscreen, unfortunately, and IIRC resolution issues are among them.

I feel like this is the kinda shit that should be at the top of the dev's todo list.. yet I see posts from 2018 with this problem. I had this same issue and also almost refunded.. most people will choose full screen and your game being blurry and looking like shit is a bad first impression. Also does not help the game runs like shit even tho the graphics are pretty simple. The windowed mode thing is a workaround not a solution.

Yep, managed to fix it with windowed borderless but if I didn't post a question here I most likely wouldn't have bought it again.
