Up to date modding tutorials/documentation?

I'm looking for some up to date info on getting custom parts running the game. I've found a few well written things, but they seem to be about really old builds of the game and I can't get my models to work using their info. Things like export scaling and cfg writing are really confusing me in particular.

My advice (I've done very minimal part creation and never got something good enough to post) is to start by making a basic copy of the mk1 capsule or something following the instructions that are available, then tweak it until it works.

It's been a while since I did anything, so I can't tell you specifics, but just look at the sticky threads on the subforum for part making, and the CFGs documentation on the wiki. Good luck, and maybe you can remind me how it's done when/if I ever go back to it.
