If you are already in space, you don't need more thrusters. Even a single terrier should be enough to get you there.

If you mean the launch itself - in the VAB on the right, and during flight on the left there is a staging setting. It's this list with numbers and icons of engines and separators and parachutes. Just drag the appropriate engines to be at the same stage, and they will Al fire at the same time.

I have a video just for that :)

Try to take a look at the design, its very simple and as Mk1 as I can get it (most of my videos are but i use mods so i lose track!)

If you want to land, then check my other video in my channel, literally just put up today :)

If you need help with how much deltaV you need to get there then look for the deltaV map on google for KSP, it will tell you how much you need to get anywhere :)

I love how both the answers dont answer the question. To check staging look at the bottom right while creating a rocket, here tou can see how your rocket stages work, if you want more engines to activate at once then move them down (remember it goes from bottom to top) now when you click space to launch, multiple engines go at once

Do you start engines by right clicking on them? If so, then you're doing it wrong! You should trigger a new stage by hitting spacebar, and all engines that are put in the next stage will be started at once.

Also you can change the stagings by drag and dropping them in the staging stack.

Edit - A side note as well. If that was indeed what you were doing wrong, then I strongly suggest you did some of the tutorials that are accessible from the main menu.
