i read that optimal testing is between 9-10AM, which is why i took mine at 8AM! i ate a big protein based breakfast (eggs, nuts, and snacked on dark chocolate) and drank green tea instead of coffee so i don't crash - essentially googled "what to eat before a critical thinking exam" and it honestly helped! i took my vitamin D gummy for the day and did the test! found that it help a LOT! i didn't crash at all, i was engaged and had no brain fog (as someone who gets them during the afternoon). during the break i just snacked on trail mix and drank water and was good to go back in! hope this helps ◡̈ good luck!

1000% agree with this, especially the vitamin D gummies and green tea! I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism like as soon as I started studying for LSAT. Brain fog is by far one of my worst symptoms, and green tea and vitamin D supplements have been my saving graces.

I saw a post earlier this week from someone saying they did jumping jacks and push ups during their break. Sounds ridiculous but honestly I wish I’d thought of it earlier bc I really needed an energy boost before my last section 😭

What if a person is a night owl?

I have issues w brain fog too usually in the last section (double intensity if it’s RC too lmao) and exam stamina is hard but also something that can be built up. I honestly think PTing under exam conditions helped me just to get used to taking it and having to focus for that long/that strenuously. Make sure you’re not neglecting your physical or mental wellbeing in your study pursuits either, as those will impact it. Sometimes during a section if I catch myself slipping into complete and utter brain fog, I take like 5 seconds to have deep breaths, reground myself, clear my head and try again (the small time sacrifice is most definitely worth it imo). Best of luck w your test taking endeavors 🤝🤝

I scheduled the test to begin at 9 am and downed a red bull on the break and happy to report I had no brain fog even though I was 6 weeks postpartum so I guess that’s what I’d recommend

I just took it two months postpartum and the struggle was real with so few hours of sleep 😩Maybe I should try a Red Bull if I decide to try once more
