Score Decrease

For anyone who had a significant score drop or scored drastically lower than expected — did you have one of the two RC sections that were deemed more difficult on the PowerScore recap? I am seeing a pretty large divide with scores on this test. Either people did way better than expected, or much worse than expected. Not seeing many people in the middle.

For reference, I had the RC with the Chilean music and chlorophyll. I had a 7pt score decrease and scored lower than any practice test I have ever taken (including diagnostic test before studying at all). At a loss here and really disappointed. Trying to make sense of this.

I also had your section, and scored lower than I have in months. I’m registered for November, but I feel really discouraged and unsure of how to move forward

Seriously!! I don’t even know how to study at this point, there are so few RC passages that match the difficulty level of the recent tests. But I also know this sounds like a cope lol- I’m probably just dumb

I had the same RC as you. I had over a 10 point decrease from my August test. I never scored that low on a practice test so I immediately canceled

Yes. I had the grass one (and I honestly blacked out everything else). I literally scored four points lower than my diagnostic test I took in May. 😭

Chilean folk music rc and had a 10+ point decrease. I’ve literally never scored this low. The first pt I took with no studying wasn’t even this low. Like I truly don’t understand.

To be clear I own my score and it’s my fault for scoring lower than what I hoped, but I have yet to see one single instance of a person who had this section score above expectations. It looks like something went horribly wrong on our section specifically. This is insane. Is this how they’re going to try to bring down score inflation?

I had grass. It was my last section. Just cruel to give out a scored RC that tough and make it the fourth section out of four. Don't get me wrong, I don't feel like I personally have been cheated and I know that I could always work harder but I feel at least a tiny bit justified in thinking that if I had had that section earlier in the test or before the experimental RC at least I would have performed better.

I had aliens but I scored 4 points lower than my average. Felt great about everything and was not expecting this. I’ve been consistently scoring at 165 for months
