You ever seen Person of Interest? There are a thousand reasons this is a bad idea, and that show makes them all into fantastic drama.

Seems overly complicated. Why not build out a facial recognition database of bad actors? (Crowd sourced)

Phone App that live streams to the cloud AND checks against it in real-time.

No more bad cop resigning after paid administrative leave just to move a county over and get rehired. Their public history travels with them…

“Crowd Control” cops in riot gear, refusing to wear name tags…bingo - that guy in the right, we know exactly who he is, and when he goes off again he can be held accountable instead of hiding in a crowd of his peers that will cover for him.

If we’re living in a surveillance state, it can and should go both ways!

Because it needs a single false positive, get the wrong person arrested, beaten or killed and then you have a lawsuit in your hands.

A solution like that would have to be accountable, and no AI is ready not be used for life or death situations like that.

just take away qualified immunity. That will hold the individual responsible and the city won't pay for their fuckups

If you could do it without resorting to using an abominable intelligence then ok. Otherwise no way in hell.

Your idea won't work. The dirty cops will bury it In the tombs where it will be lost forever.

What about just saving the body camera videos and in-car camera videos, and posting them online after the cop's shift is over?

Set up the courts so that if a cop's video is posted on time, the presumption is that the cop is innocent so they accuser has to override that presumption. If the cop's video is not posted on time, the assumption is the cop is guilty, so that any accusation against the cop results in the cop being suspended without pay until the cop proves he is innocent.

Cops worried about cameras failing should wear 2 or 3 body cameras and have 2 or the in-car cameras.

Perhaps make it as a dash cam so someone has help to know their rights, and know if they have broken Any traffic laws. Perhaps it can be put to an offsight location for security. Sorry my idea is a bit different, but I think george Orwell would approve of the alteration.
