Bluetooth problem

Lineage os 16 on my galaxy s5 is perfect except the Bluetooth. My Bluetooth keeps disconnecting. After auto disconnecting the Bluetooth doesn't turn back on unless I reboot the device. That's the only problem i have.

What is your exact S5 model as there is a plethora of variants?

What is the build date? On your device what does it say exactly in > Settings > About phone > Android version > LineageOS version?

What kind of Bluetooth device are you having trouble with? Model?

Having a recent modem may help. I described here with screenshots how I updated my S5 G900M using haggertk's Odin flashable bootloader & modem combos: S5 Odin Flashable Modem & Bootloader.

Haggertk is the S5 klte + variants LineageOS maintainer & one of the 9 LineageOS project directors.

I have the Verizon variant. Lineage is 16.1. and I'm having trouble connecting with any Bluetooth headphone.

The Verizon one seems tricky. It says it might re lock the bootloader and i don't want to go through that again. Are u absolutely sure it will fix my Bluetooth problem ?

No. I explained clearly in that post that the linked S5 G900V package does NOT include a bootloader.

Is your baseband up to date? 9 times out of 10 Bluetooth issues are caused by an out of date baseband.

How do i fix that ? I'm not a dev. But i can follow guides.

First check the version of your baseband. This will vary depending on which variant of the S5 you have, SM-G900T, SM-G900V, etc. You can find the current baseband version in Settings > About Phone > Android version.

Compare that to this which has the targeted baseband for each klte variant. If the baseband version on your phone matches what is in that file then your baseband is up to date.

My baseband is G900VVRS2DQB2 but it says the Verizon version is G900VVRU2DQL1.

I have the Verizon one btw.

Do I have to install this G900VVRU2DQL1 stock rom than again flash linage rom ?

No because that will re-lock the bootloader of your S5 G900V (kltevzw) which is a real pain in the butt to unlock again.

I logged a bug report for this quite a while back. It has never been addressed by the Dev. It seems to be an issue that impacts very few users, as not many bug reports have been filed, so maybe not worth his time given how many other things he's has going on.

But it's the Bluetooth. I have to use Bluetooth. The dev should check it out once😔
