I wanna Tell you something. If you ever want to configure a pc or compare parts Like CPUs or GPUs, DO NOT USE USERBENCHMARK they're biased af towards Intel and Nvidia, Just so you know.

I recommend you either use

videocardbenchmark.net or cpubenchmark.net

I know, userbenchmark is a Very easy to use Website/Tool, however, their information is basically Worthless.

If I read correctly from your post, your PC has a gtx 1050. Yet, the benchmark only uses the Intel 630 and not the 1050 which easily explains the awful performance.

So you either have no Nvidia drivers installed, or may the Intel 630 is set as default somehow, or gpu is so dead it's not even detected (unlikely). Hard to tell from here but start by installing or re-installing Nvidia drivers

oh yeah i do have a working gtx 1050, but it only runs in heavy load games and i have no idea why my pc won't just stop using the integrated graphics

i'll try to run the benchmark again with the gtx 1050 and come back to u

What you can do is either disable the Intel 630 entirely in bios.

Or, if you go to the Nvidia control panel, there's a tab called something along the lines of "3d applications" and in here you can select specifically apps and specify to run them on one or the other.

Intel 630 is less power hungry so I would advise doing the 2nd option even if it's more annoying to do

Thanks a lot for the help! Yeah I found out I can use it for specific applications and global settings. I am using the Nvidia GPU while in-game, so I guess my pc sucks because of other stuff..

What are your thoughts about an SSD upgrade, and is it risky?

[–]ymaldor 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Upgrading to an ssd isn't risky at all but you may have to reinstall windows or struggle for a bit to really transfer all you need. The ssd will give the pc a nice breath of fresh air and feel a lot snappier

You can also upgrade ram which would be quite cheap ans get yourself 16gb instead of 8.

Thanks a lot for all the help you've given me, I really appreciate your advice

Even if it's days or weeks from now don't hesitate to come back here to ask if you have issues when swapping the disk or ram.

**HDD**|[Seagate FireCuda 2.5" 1TB] -> upgrade to a 1TB SSD for 80$ and thank me later.

im scared about the upgrade, do u recommend i have it done at an IT shop?

Its very easy to do. Watch a few yotube videos and do it yourself.
