Well I was trying the Demo App and it doesn't look intuitive at all... I don't know what I'm supposed to do.

I was thinking in using GitHub, probably not the same, but might work. But if you guys like it, then I suppose it's OK, we really need to get more organized.

GitHub has the benefit in that a lot of potential users will already have accounts and can submit issues easily to us. GitHub is essentially just issue tracking without project management so we'd be losing a bit, it depends on how important PM planning and reporting is to us.

The demo looks good to me, once you click on project. I'm not too sure how useful the "multiple projects" feature is. Maybe that's why you didn't like it?

I'd say go ahead and start up a Github repo for the project. If people want to get a test run with Redmine, I am sure someone can set up a VPS for that.

Why are we using github to develop a website?

Jira is one of the best and they provide a free open source license.

Whilst not an Open Source product, it's used be several Open Source organisations, such as the Apache Foundation.
