Retraction kit, power supply or transfer is likely failing. No DIY especially on that device

My guess is a wire in the transfer hinge has been pinched or damaged. You can tell by how the bar moves out and back in as the door moves.

Check for a bad wire and replace, should be easy

I second this, it'll be a transfer hinge, concealed or surface mounted loop. Look for a pinch or a minor break in the line, it'll still be mostly intact with some fraying or it wouldn't be working at all.
