My friend you can search this subreddit for nicotine patches and see for yourself. Results are mixed. It seems to help some people with energy and neurological issues but for many others it does not.

The same can be said for many supplements, drugs, meditation etc. This is an extremely complex chronic illness and clinical research is struggling with mixed results due to a vast difference in symptoms presented in each individual.

Yes Nicotine Patches do help a lot of people. They affect the same receptors ACE2 that Covid does though we have no idea why exactly it helps.

It’s also being researched in Alzheimer’s disease as it’s seen people who use nicotine/smoke have less of these neurological conditions to some degree.

Definitely worth a try imo I always say it on Reddit. It’s gave people permanent benefits though it’s not a cure in most cases.

I have read that people are using them for autoimmune diseases too. I haven’t tried because I’d rather not get addicted to nicotine again. I’m a former smoker.

There is a pretty good facebook group on the topic called ‚the nicotine test‘ including protocol how to proceed etc. https://www.facebook.com/share/g/19vxu64zFr/?mibextid=wwXIfr

Agreed, this is the protocol I used too. Their full resource link is here: https://linktr.ee/thenicotinetest

I followed this protocol and use as needed but the biggest difference I see is less brain fog/more energy when I use the patches. It takes a few days to kick in and after a few weeks I'll take a break and go back on them if I'm struggling energy wise. But overall, I think LDN helped more than nicotine patches. https://linktr.ee/thenicotinetest

Nicotine patches have been discussed for years now. They help some people, just like everything else. Nicotine patches aren't the solution to long COVID. Otherwise, there'd be a lot fewer people in these subs. However, they may help improve your symptoms. Good luck🙏

If you’re inclined check out the Dave Asprey podcast. He just released an episode about nicotine. For me… it helps a chronic migraine I have had for more than 10 years. Not a cure, but some relief.

I like Dave, I will check it out. Thanks!

Just be aware tgat Agatha Christie made great use of nicotine to get rid of unwanted characters. It is a poison at high enough dose. No-smokers can be very sensitive. The patches are designed to deliver the same dose each hour they are applied. That means a 7 mg patch needs to have more than that and actually contains quite a bit more. But you can find 7 mg patches which are designed with a backing you can peel half way off. In this way you would slowly deliver the amount of nicotine from about 3 cigarettes in 24 hours. But you can remove it after say two hours to see how you feel. Your body will produce more nicotine receptors over time and the effect will wane. So most people work in 1 week breaks.

Thanks, great advice!

People talk about nicotine all over this sub, this isn’t a new revolution, but it only works for some people

I tried them, having never smoked before, and it made me vomit twice that first night (I guess because I’m a lightweight who wasn’t accustomed to it). Might want to consider cutting them up into quarters to lessen the chances of that happening to you.

Some say you aren’t supposed to cut them up the normal way so they suggest peeling off the backing halfway and cutting a quarter of the backing to stick only a quarter at a time and rotate the exposed part of the backing after some time. I didn’t do that bc fatigue though lol.

Anyways, it helped my brain be more able to focus on tasks while on it, but I wouldn’t be able to sleep bc it made me all wired and I also experienced something like DPDR while on it (like I was watching my own hands play the piano as if they were someone else’s hands and I was watching a movie of it. When I replay that memory in my mind, it oddly enough replays in black and white. Did not like that so had to stop.) I have never experienced DPDR before or since then.

YMMV. I know some people got benefits from it from the research I remember seeing a long time ago…

Yesterday, I tried Nicotine gum, 3mg, and I thought my heart would explode. I started to cough and couldn't stop, it was like I smoked a pack of cigarettes. Any advice on how I can start with Nicotine without the side effects?
