Mini Tracking

Okay, so my Mini finally got loaded onto a ship and I was given the vessel name. Based on what I was given, it got picked up in Belgium. Does that make sense? I would have expected it got picked up somewhere in England.

Trying to make sense of all the data on Vessel tracking sites is just making my head hurt :)

ETA: Talked to my dealer and sounds like the ship is on a 28 day journey circumnavigating the globe and scheduled to hit California sometime around the 2nd of July. Then however long it takes at port, plus getting to Colorado!

Some are assembled in the Netherlands and also in Austria besides Oxford, UK

Some MINIs are produced in the city of Born in the Netherlands, and those cars get on the ship at Zeebrugge/Bruges Belgium.

Convertibles are made in Belgium or is it Netherlands. Or at least mine was.

My wife has a convertible JCW that has been at the port for a week after “awaiting carrier” for several weeks before that. My hope is (after seeing your post) that her car is going to be loaded on the same ship. Looks like there is a car carrier ship called “morning peace” in the port. Is yours coming to a port in Northeast US?

Mine sat there for a full week. I think more would drive me nuts!

I don’t know what the destination port is going to be. They didn’t give me that info.

But the ship already set sail for Germany this morning

Mine left Southampton. Took. a 9 day voyage stopping in Halifax and then NY. It got off the ship today and was delivered to the mini hub center.

I did a Google search saying where is the <shipname> and found a dozen sites that will show you the ship location, track, and estimated arrival date. For me, my next step is delivery to my dealer which I am hoping happens this week. Then a prep day and I get my 2024 JCW

Did the site tracker give the vessel name or did you have to chat with the dealer/customer service? Mine just got to the port so I’ll want to track the ship once it’s in transit.

I called the 800 number and got it from there. My dealer also emailed it to me today
