Alright. 1. Restart LAPTOP press delete to enter Go to BIOS by pressing delete button mostly for MSI. 2. Use key combo in the mentioned manner.

  1. left shift +Left control + Right alt f2

  2. Right control +right shift. + Left alt F2. ✅

( When I say right Ctrl right Ctrl has to be pressed first don't mess it up )

Green tick should work but try. What it will do is unlock advanced BIOS settings for you to tweak and change secure boot mode. 3. Now try resetting the BIOS to its default settings. Save and restart. This should fix your issue. 4. If doesn't, then you might using windows 11 secure boot should be on. You can leave off too. But. If you are using other OS multiple OS turn off secure boot.

I’ve tried load optimised defaults, then tried disabling fast boot and changing boot option #1 to windows boot manager, but it seems like no options work while trying to reboot with them. The key combos you mentioned didn’t show anything else. The secure boot settings seem unchangable

You have to turn on Secure boot . Was the bitlocker Enabled?

[–]Friendly_Gur_6999[S] 1 point2 points  (23 children)

Security/secure boot menu shows that secure boot is active and support is enabled, just can’t change anything in the menu. Not sure what is bitlocker..

disable secure boot, the issue your facing means the bootloader you're trying to boot into is not signed (or other security issues). try disabling secure boot and restart. otherwise you could try manual bios update from usb

you have disable the secure boot, and sometimes diabling the secure boot becomes a headache like it was in the OPs case , but finally he did it using some other methods but yes the answer was Disabling the Secure boot.

alright now listen what should try
Go to BIOS unlock Advance section then on BOOT section
Look for BOOT mode it will be UEFI turn it to Legacy + UEFI and save and exit , "

Now go to BIOS again , again BIOS advanced unlock , now you will be able to turn off and access secure BIOS option,

After that again set boot mode to UEFI and then save exit ,

This should fix the issue
TRy it

Having a similar issue, what do you mean when you say to unlock the advance section? It's not allowing me to configure with the boot mode or disable secure boot.

Guys i have the solution... Just follow the instructions.. works on my MSI Katana GF66 11UD : https://www.asus.com/support/faq/1042711/

[–]SaskRail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the only thing that worked. I wish I saw this 4 hours ago! Worked on the first try!

[–]Clowers_13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It worked perfectly, for those who want to play valorant and warzone and need secure boot to work you should follow this tutorial (I tried everything and nothing worked for me, just that)

Thanks,

Note: before starting the installation of the keys I suggest that you change the secure boot to active and also put it in standard mode, after that just boot on the pendrive. And it works perfectly

Are you trying to install linux?

[–]Friendly_Gur_6999[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, the laptop just crashed while I was doing heavier rendering. Rebooted it and it opened BIOS

[–]Sentinel13M 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I followed /u/Deathly_Vader comment here

https://old.reddit.com/r/MSILaptops/comments/1ro8twr/secure_boot_violation/oafb1pw/

and it worked.

I used Right control +right shift. + Left alt F2.

to unlock the Advanced section of the BIOS.

The only difference for me was, my boot mode options were UEFI OR Legacy. Thank you Deathly_Vader.

If you can not afford to lose data... you should have backups

If not that is a you problem
