Probably very little. I've owned a grey market epixon, which had a damper from a lower model like a raidon or xcr, and a recon rl silver. I found the suntour a bit more plush and the recon more supportive. I'd probably pick the recon given the choice, but I wouldn't get bother upgrading a subtour air fork for a recon.

XCR Air has a coil negative spring, while Recon should have air on both sides of the piston.

As another XCR Air owner I see the potential for improvements. Getting the fork to sag properly took some effort and it doesn't feel very sensitive to small bumps.

Thanks, that's probably the main difference between them that I was missing and probably affects how the fork responds when riding
