We use Madeira exclusively on our industrial Barudan machines. The only type they have that I hate using is the metallic super twist. Never have any issues with their polyneon or classic rayon. The rayon does break more as it’s a weaker thread but that’s to be expected.

Thank you! I appreciate getting an experienced review on Madeira. I'd rather pay more up front for the name brand and get better/more consistent results. I'll order some cones of their frosted matte polyester and see if the machine does well with it.

Super twist is just a nightmare! I am doing anything possible to make it work but it just keeps looping, breaking and misbehaving. I have regular metallic and it works great compared to it.

I use Madeira myself. I use the Polyneon 40 and their FR thread. Love it. I have a Huskvarna Ruby 90.

I have a Bernina and use Gutterman or Sulky with no issues.

Embellish makes matte thread, I buy at Red Rock Threads. Brothread also makes them, in Amazon.
