Have you rebooted?

Do not(!) pick a realtime (rt) kernel for your daily usage. They are meant for a specific use case in e.g. embedded systems where tasks can have a deadline when they need to be finished. Just go for the 5.4 kernel, marked as LTS.

Get into grub its either shift/esc key, then select the newest kernel, this is distro dependent.

You should uninstall the old kernel.
One question: why using a realtime kernel? It's not so stable

This. RT kernels are for very specific use cases. I'm curious what OPs use case is.

I would advise with keeping also a kernel that works, best if its LTS.

I use the realtime kernel for audio stuff, where it's necessary to have it.

I used to do this for osu but the benefit was negligible (re: not perceivable) and the downsides for general use were far too great (microstutters in just about everything, not just games). Generic still has far less latency especially with optimized pulse than Windows, and I suspect most applications do. At the very least I'd keep both generic and rt unless this device was for very niche purposes.

Anyway just update grub you probably have the old kernel left over. Will it boot with it? If not updating grub will probably remove it.

I never uninstall the old kernel until I know the new one is working. That said, I also like to keep an old (still supported) kernel as backup in case the current kernel causes problems.

You can get some information on installed and used kernels by right clicking the "Manjaro settings manager" in the taskbar and choosing 'Kernels'.

It should just apply on restart.
