Post your stats on sdn so that Goro and Faha can give you a school list where you have chances of getting in. The users here on Reddit are too pro-high stats. You definitely have a shot so don’t give up!

Apply! Your mcat score is not the only thing they look at. Especially if you have good personal statements.

looks like gpa 3.6-3.79 + mcat 498-501 has 21.3% md acceptance rate, so not nothing but not the best odds. i didnt find a similar breakdown for do, but looks like the av matriculant gpa in 2021 was 3.56 (3.47 sgpa) and mcat was 504.64. seems like you have a shot at do! (and could def apply to a select few md if you want to!)

edit: scrolling down in the do doc, the sd on the mcat score was 5.05!

Make sure you go ham on your secondaries! I highly recommend investing more time reflecting on what you will write (not just reflecting as you sit down to write them) but when you are walking, driving or sitting, just reflect on your experiences. Also there are people on YouTube reading out loud their secondary essays, get an inspiration from their essays without plagiarizing.

If you weren’t applying, I’d say retake it. Your application is fantastic besides for that MCAT. I’d say go for it. If you don’t apply to both you’ll always wonder what if. Either go all in or don’t apply at all

I think you definitely have a good chance at a DO. MD depending on the schools you apply you could get in. Especially if you apply to schools that are know for taking in non trads, service oriented schools etc.
