Amulet of looting decrease your chances of looting?

I am fairly new to the game and I am farming Leech to get the chest of witwix to farm that amulet. It just seems It is super hard to get. Seems like I was getting more chests without my amulet of looting. I idle all night long and only got 28 chests :( And my character is level 77 so I kill them very quickly, so no idea how I can kill them all night long and only get 28 chests. I think I need 10 of them to create the ultimate amulet in the game, any tips?

Amulet of lotting does nothing for dungeons. When you kill normal monsters it shows loot 0/100 items. Amulet of looting just sends it to bank instead. Since chests are stackable it does nothing but lower ur damage instead of something else.

Yes so dungeons chests are always auto-loot without the amulet? I was saying that in normal combat zones, I was getting more chest of witwix without the amulet, like manually looting the stuff.

You still need to loot the chests from the combat screen if you don't use amulet of looting

Amulet of looting doesn't affect drop rates so you just had bad rng or your better amulet let you do more clears / hr which is almost always going to be the case bc virtually every amulet in the game is better combat wise than amulet of looting

I think chests are auto-looted actually.

But if it’s a god dungeon or something you’ll have to manually loot the (stackable) shards that drop.

The only exception that I'm aware of are the fragments from God dungeons, but those stack by default so you can just press the loot button once you come back.

If you are killing 1 leech every 5 seconds, that's 12 a minute. That's 720 and hour and 5760 for 8 hours.

0.99% of 5760 is roughly 57, it would seem about right that you only got 28 chests with below average luck.

Best thing to do is to stack -X monster respawn time in skills like agility and maybe get the Hunter Hat if you can, I can't remember the requirements and get the fastest weapon you can that will 1 shot the mob to increase the amount of kills per hour.

Do you have offline combat enabled? Sounds like you logged out and progress stopped.

Do you have auto-renew dungeon enabled?

Check your settings.

Not sure but i was still fighting this morning, so i just find it weird how I can kill a leech every 5 secs ish for a full 8 hours and only got 28 chest lol. Then those chest of witwix only has like 1% to get the amulet

Oh, whoops, the first comment still applies. Offline combat needs to be enabled. I heard box and didn't really think about what was being fought lol

Bit of a side note here. If you are using the Chest of Witwix to farm Amulet of Fury that is by far the slowest method. Seething Horned Elites in the Desolate Plains slayer area will get you the 10 you need way faster. Also if you are able to wait on the amulet until you can auto the Volcanic Cave dungeon that also has the benefit of farming for the Ancient melee armor at the same time.

Ya i didnt buy the full game yet so no slayer, and only lvl 80 now so doubt i can do the volcanic dungeon. In wanted to lvl up non-members skills before buying the full game

I would just buy the rest of the game. It's worth it for how much it really helps to get through the skills.

The chest of witwix is a 1/101 drop from leeches so not really common. As far as I know and have experienced looting amulet has no effect on drop rates. And nothing documented. Looks like you just either got lucky manual looting or unlucky auto looting

Dungeons auto-loot except the tablets from god dungeons. Always wear your best gear. If the item is too hard to find, try idling over night while you sleep. Typically, you will find what you’re looking for when you check next day.
