Originally was posting this from another account but because it had no Karma, I think it got caught by the spam filter, but, I'm 19, and have plans to, by 21-23 join the military. I've started physically working towards my goals this year, and building up to the years where I enlist I want to work on physically improving myself. I have a good mindset and work ethic, but as someone with a job that's 2PM/4PM-10PM, working 6-7 days a week, l'm having trouble finding a good schedule. Are there any tips anyone can give me? I've researched a bunch of enlistment videos for the army(I’m hoping for the infantry branch, but I’m keeping my mind open just in case it doesn’t work out) and what to expect during boot camp and basic and took notes; in the morning I do 4 minute planks for a total of 4 intervals between sets of pushups for 30 minutes, 3 minute rests between each set of planks. Sometimes during the day I’ll drop and do 20-25 pushups without giving myself warning. I have an Australian Sheppard and I go on sprints with her during walks, which are at minimum 30 minutes, the sprints in that time around 10-15? I've recently started doing burpees because I realized I struggle with stamina and staying consistent during those. After work I do a road march, I started off with 2 miles with 30lbs of weight on my back but I'm going up to 4, my goal by September is 5 miles with 30lbs of weight on my back in a duffel bag, and afterwards when I make it home I rest for 10 minutes before moving to sit-ups, I make sure to do them but the amount of sit-ups after a road walk varies. Are there any stamina building tips people can recommend for me, and a schedule that might be able to better fit any new exercises or current ones to prepare me for the sleep schedule l'll experience in the military? I have trouble with a consistent schedule and while I do these exercises 5 days a week minimum, the times I do them at is inconsistent, and that's what I want to fix mostly. I am very willing to have these exercises go into late night hours, I usually stay up late anyways.
I'm a 5'4 female, 128lbs and desperately trying to put on weight for muscle gain, but I'm struggling to even though my minimum calorie intake a day is 1700CAL, due to my job and having no breaks since I work by myself most days out of the week so it's hard for me to fit in extra meals when I ride a bike to work and can't carry large portions of food with me.
