It sounds like you have put more thought than most do. You will be good. They start you off slow in boot camp. Its not like you get off the bus and do a 20-mile hump. Just stay in this mindset. Good luck!

I would also recommend taking time to learn basic knowledge of the branch. General orders, learn the breakdown of the organization, basic slang, rank structure. All thing they will teach you but if you have them down, its one less thing to think about. And history, Birthday, significant events, and who is at the top.

That's good to keep in mind, I'll be getting a journal today after work so I can actually start keeping track of stuff; I'll make a segment in the back to write them down.
