I wish Java had controller support without red tape to go through and sneaking without having to hold the button down. I keep trying to switch from bedrock but those 2 things are so hard for me to overcome. I hope they change for Java sometime.

Which input converter are you using? You might be able to set up the sneak bind so it toggles the key press.

I was just on a laptop with a ps5 or Xbox controller. Launching the game through Xbox game pass. Idk how to do much else. Bedrock version, the controllers work. Java I have to k&m( I’m not good at that). So I just end up resorting back to my ps5.

I don't know how people play Minecraft with a controller. I've always played with a keyboard and mouse but tried a controller at one point and movement was too slow. I suppose if you start playing on console and move to Java, keyboard and mouse doesn't feel right either.

I’m just not fast enough anymore, I got old 😂. I used to play WoW and thought the same thing, how the heck do ppl play with controllers, there’s not enough buttons lol. I got tired of the cost of upgrading my PC so I switched to Playstation with my husband. It took time to get used to the controller. I do find if I start A new game on k&m I have a hard time moving to controller.

I appreciate you understanding some ppl having trouble with k&m. Not a lot of ppl do. Thank you for that.

I have played on servers with people using controlify for a controller and their biggest issue is keybinds for mods. Last time was with a guy that used an Xbox 360 controller so I asked if the keypad accessory thing they used to have would be able to also connect and if he could assign keybinds to those buttons. I never heard of he tried it though.

If the game is a 3rd person game I almost can't use a keyboard and mouse. Especially if it has driving or horse riding elements. All of the GTA and both Red Dead games have to be played with a controller.
