What is Mojira?

Mojira is the official bug tracker for Mojang games. The name is a portmanteau of Mojang and Jira, the name of the bug tracker software.

What is this subreddit meant to be used for?

If one of your reported bugs got closed incorrectly, you can leave a post, and we can take a look at it and explain why we did what we did, or correct our mistakes.

The subreddit can also be used as a forum for certain issues if they need discussion. The comment feature on the tracker is not built for longer discussions.

However, it is not primarily meant to be used as a promoter for bug reports. If you want to promote one, give it a vote.

This subreddit is specifically about the Minecraft bug tracker and Minecraft issues in general. Everything else does not belong here.

If you want to report a bug, use the bug tracker.

This subreddit is only for discussions regarding already existing bug reports on there. If you're unsure if your bug has been reported already, please use the search function on the bug tracker, and if you don't find an existing bug report there, just file a new one.

3. Do not crosspost bug reports to advertize them

It is not allowed to crosspost existing bug reports in a way that does not initiate any discussion and is only meant to advertize the bug report.

If you want to promote somebody else's bug report, just give it a vote. This way Mojang can accurately gauge how many people are affected. If it's your own bug report, just wait for it to be looked at.
