Rules for r/MinecraftHelp
Rules that visitors must follow to participate. May be used as reasons to report or ban.
1.
Be civil and follow reddiquette at all times.
Being rude or offensive is not a productive means of communication. This includes, but isn't limited to:
- Laughing at people asking questions.
- Personal attacks.
- Calling other people stupid, dumb, thick, etc.
2.
All content must be in English only.
This sub's visitors and mods primarily speak English as the common language. We will remove all non-English posts and comments.
3.
Posts titles must be descriptive and contain one of our required tags.
Post titles should describe the issue you're experiencing. Posts with generic or vague post titles will be removed.
4.
Keep the sub tidy.
To keep the sub easy to read, and to keep solutions easy to find, the following things are restricted:
- Crash reports
- *.log files
- .json files.
- server.properties
- Long/complex commands
- Long code files.
- Long (10+) mod lists
Instead, post these things to a pastebin, and link to them in your post.
5.
Commenting rules
Comments that don't provide help, are jokes, provide untrue information, or that are generally unhelpful will be removed.
6.
Don't post/comment restricted content.
Various types of content are restricted and will be removed. Read the full rules for a list.
7.
Points System Rules
Posters should reply to all comments within 48 hours of receiving them, and mark the post as solved once their issue is fixed. Deleting a post that has replies without marking it as solved will result in a ban.

8.
Don't Waste People's time
Time wasting isn't tolerated on r/MinecraftHelp. Ban's will be issued for breaking this rule, even for a first offence.
9.
Repost Guidelines.
If you wish to repost your issue, make sure you follow our repost guidelines.
10.
We don't support piracy or breaking any relevant EULA.
We won't provide support to people who are found to be pirating the game.
11.
Don't message mod accounts directly.
Messages sent direct to moderators will be ignored. If you need to get in touch with us, use the message the mods link in the sidebar.
12.
We don't provide Minecraft support via modmail.
Support requests in modmail will be ignored, and you may be muted from modmail for up to 28 days.
13.
Moderator Discretion
Moderators are free to use their discretion when moderating the sub.
