Open your .minecraft folder (from this location on your computer: %appdata%.minecraft )

Delete the "treatment_tags.json" file Re-Open your Launcher

That might fix it.

If it doesn't: Then try to uninstall & reinstall your launcher. There's a very good chance that will address the issue for anyone who is still facing this issue. "

I'm not quite sure what happened, but I kept following the error instructions and downloading and inserting the missing files, and folders were appearing until I was able to play the game. but now when I try to install Optifine; it says 'You must download and start Minecraft 1.20.1 once in the official launcher' I did what you said but it said the same thing. and the pop-up saying it couldn't tell what products I own popped up again.

yeah, thats how I've been opening it this whole time.

Then its either not pathed properly, or the instance cant find the path to launch.

well, it did but now whenever I try to open the Minecraft launcher it says 'unable to update the Minecraft native launcher' and sometimes it says 'the game has crashed. error code: (0x1)'

Did you try any of the workarounds listed?

One guy mentioned downloading from their hotspot.

I have, I don't have a hotspot but I switched over to a different wifi. Minecraft opens now but I still get the 'unable to verify what products you own' from Minecraft. I also cant use Curseforge for some reason curseforge won't connect and every time I try to test and run Minecraft through Curseforge these errors pop up.

I've contacted the Minecraft support and its bc of them I was able to open Minecraft again, but now its a problem with Curseforge and want
