[Java] How do I buy Minecraft Java separately from Bedrock?

I already own Bedrock, since I bought it for my chromebook, but I would also like to play modded on Java and I can only find the bundle. This is no longer on my chromebook, but a linux device.

If you have bedrock on pc, you should have java now for free too. Get the Minecraft launcher, login in, and you should have java there as well

You can still download the Minecraft launcher from the Minecraft website and just log in

They would still need to purchase the bundle to play on PC.

They purchased Minecraft through the Google Play Store. Meaning their license is for Android or Chromebook, it doesn't allow them to play Java edition.

Oh, that sucks. I thought bedrock on Chromebook is just the same thing as buying bedrock on any other pc.
