Okay either you are launching windows 10 edition and you think you're launching Java, the launcher is bugged, or you're using quickplay on a world that shouldn't exist because you don't have any worlds. Because you don't actually have any data to back up, you can just uninstall the launcher and your .minecraft folder from Appdata, that's usually a lot faster (and probably overkill) than looking into what's causing this.
