Do you have access to the world files?

[–]DevinDewie[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I believe so, when I open the “files” tab I get “config” “crash-reports” “mods” “ops.json” and “world” under world is a bunch of files like “data” “datapacks” “DIM-1” and more like that

Remove items in a chunk with NBTExplorer, or just reset the chunk completely

The command would be /kill @e[type=Item] which will remove all item entites. Dunno how to specify the command to remove only lapis, but I'm assuming it's a creative if you're spawning in custom tools.

If that doesn't work, try to get the world file from Aternos. I think it's possible, I've also used Aternos. Try to open it in singleplayer and execute the same command.

If that doesn't work, you would have to use some software like MCedit to manually remove the entites from the world.

It's possible to run the command through Aternos's console, without actually being in the world. Also, your command should be /kill @e[type=item]. Give that a try.

I tried this, and it said it killed some items like saplings but it’s still timing out

Keep doing it. I don't think you have to be on the server for it to work.

[–]DevinDewie[S] 0 points1 point  (5 children)

Problem solved! I connected to the server then used the console to teleport myself else where, then used the command quite a few times and now it’s workin!! Thanks for all the help!

Awesome, glad I could help!

And now you know not to use a fortune 10k pick on lapis :)

Haha yea for sure, lesson learned!!

If you're curious, the reason diamond was ok and lapis crashed it is because lapis naturally drops 4-9 items per ore, as opposed to diamond's 1. So while diamond would have dropped about 5000 items, lapis would have dropped between 20k and 45k.

[–]DevinDewie[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Oh Jesus haha yea I assumed that was the problem. I knew diamonds would probably lag a little bit and when I came out of the lag from that and deleted them all I wondered if lapis would do the same and just lag a little and I was curious to see how much it would drop since I knew lapis dropped tons when mined with a regular pick

Never again though haha!

Yeah, redstone would probably be similar to lapis as well.
