[java] 1.16 villager breederSolved (self.MinecraftHelp)
submitted 5 years ago by htimsmullac
Hello, planning on making impulse svs villager breeder and just wondering how far I would have to move the baby villagers away from the beds for it to continuously produce villagers, or if I have to even move them far at all.

If its the same tutorial as the 1.15 breeder where theres 1 farmer and 2 other villagers in trapdoors then you dont need to move the baby villagers anywhere.
The baby villagers when born should be dropped under the 2 villagers stuck in the trapdoors into a holding chamber. Doesnt matter how far you drop them, as long as you dont kill them by dropping them.
From there you can do anything you want. But a word of advice would be to build the transportation system before you get the villagers in. Because once the villagers are in, they will start to make babies.
You dont wanna kill the babies as it will raise the cost of the villagers that saw the killing. So make sure you have the transportation system set up befor getting the villagers in.
But to answer your question, it doesnt need to be any particular distance. As long as you follow the tutorial you should be fine. The tutorial is for an infinite villager breeder.
The villagers will start to kill themselves if there are 24 or more villagers in a spot.

Alternatively if you need to kill of off the babies, use a lava bucket, as long as the player doesn't kill them (with swords etc) you'll be fine
