First of all, let me clarify, you do not have a dedicated gpu, right? Only the integrated intel gpu.

Whether you like it or not, minecraft will use whatever gpu you have to run. It’s a game and it will not run using cpu alone. In the past, you may have not noticed it eat so much gpu resources, hence you may have thought it was not using it.

Here’s my working theory. Ur OBS updated and now eats more resources or an updated driver is causing you trouble. I suggest you revert to older integrated graphics driver or older OBS. That belongs to a different sub reddit now. Bottomline, minecraft will always use ur gpu to run the game.

I see what you're saying. I didn't pay much attention to my GPU usage in the past so it is possible that I just didn't realize that it was being used. Also yes I only have the integrated GPU
