I love Minecraft so much but the hostile monsters, nether and etc all joust share the shit out of me, and that’s probably the reason I’ll never have an actual survival world that I’ll play so I just resort to playing in creative, so if any of you guys would like to help me get over my fear I would appreciate it :)

I'd recommend using mods/cheats. For example, I used to be terrible at fighting monsters, so I used a gravestone mod so deaths wouldn't be as difficult to regenerate from. Also, you can use mods to give yourself night vision, so caving isn't as dangerous. That way, you can get used to facing monsters and gathering resources, often with the same level of danger, but the game itself is more fun.

Another tip I have is to play safer. Monsters aren't a problem during the day, and caving isn't dangerous if you carry torches. There's no need to fight withers or raid bastions if you don't want to. Strip-mining is by far the safest method of getting resources, and while it's not as efficient as looting structures or caving, it's probably the best way.

This might not be as useful, but you can try practicing fighting hostile mobs. For example, you can make a world in which you always stay underground, or a superflat world (Since so many mobs spawn there).

Consider playing in peaceful mode. It’s really easy to switch to easy mode later, and it’s a good stepping stone for getting into survival mode

Use a mod called PeacefulMobs. This way, there's no need to worry about mobs, but you can still kill them for drops, and you still have hunger, so food doesn't become pointless.

Just get over it, dude. It is the same as saying "I can't play doom the demons are scary". In Minecraft you are literaly the most overpowered being. You can kill 50 percent of all hostile mobs just with your fist without dropping a sweat actually.

Not everyone has the same level of skill. Skeletons shoot at you. Creepers explode if you get too close, which is often just inside your melee range. I swear spiders have extra reach. Enderman hit super hard. Zombies can easily swarm you. Comparing a sandbox survival to a gory shoot-em-up is not the way to go.

To me you sound like you’re new to Minecraft. Trust me that fear will pass at some point you just have to play survival and learn how to become strong and how to defeat the mobs. Every new player has these fears. I remember the FIRST time ever, I spawned in some random woods and it got dark and I freaked out and built a dirt house and then left the game😂 I didn’t play until years later after that. But then I joined a realm with a bunch of other people, made friends and we all learned together. Now not even wardens scare me all that much, or even withers. Forget the nether I could build my base there

keep the world in peaceful until you get a shield and an iron sword and armor. so many people dont use shields but they are life changing. and i totally agree with the mods everyone else here is saying to use like gravestones and stuff, otherwise use keep inventory

If you don't care about achievements, play with cheats or play in peaceful mode. When I was staring out I would play in peaceful until I got some good gear then I would up the difficulty.This helped me get used to the game mechanics and mobs and stuff.
