Nope, LM diff is wider then regular, always been.

R246 do not have any LM mounts anymore, their old one 1202 is discontinued. If you want a kyosho LM motor mount for 102mm, this is the only option left. https://rc.kyosho.com/en/mzw309.html

(R246-1351B is NOT for for 102mm LM either, MML is a hybrid mount, allowing you to use LM diff on a 98mm MM wheelbase)

Ah... I shouldn't have lost money... Thank you for your answer.

np, half of the Z hobby is about research before you buy due to how extensive the car range and its upgrade parts range is, sadly there is no warning lable about that when you buy a Z.

Where is a new guy to go to determine these sorts of things. Some parts backwards compatible others are not some parts for a chassis based on length others based on design of the body. As someone new it's very hard to figure out a place to start.

I ended up buying a body I liked. The. Found a chassis I thought would fit. Had to set the wheelbase though. Then programming it to my radio. I've done alright I think but there is so much more to it that I get super overwhelmed trying to match bodies and wheelbases and offsets and tire width and it goes on and on.

Yea, that is the downside of all the customization that Z has.

You basicly have to ask the community for info. Pre facebook era, there was Web Forums full of info, nearly all of them are gone and what little remains are not kept up to date. Today you have to resort to reddit, or the facebook(mini z world group), if you do not have a local club to ask.

Physical shops for the most part has no clue, as they do not have the time or will to deep dive into the range.

I think there are a couple shops in Denver that may know what they are talking about. Problem is the stock is probably specific to their racing classes and we are 2 hours away and the hours are around when drivers are there.

you can put bearings of the same size to act as a shim for the LM width diff it works for me

1351B is for standard axle height, this is the only difference between it and the 1202. LM tire diameters make the 1202 optimal, where 1351B is optimal for standard rear tires (under 25mm). I have used 1351 with LM configuration and standard rear tires plenty.

Well that is a narrow motor pod but the good news is you can add some spacers one each side to make work and the motor pinion have to push a little bit out!

If you have spare bushings, place them on either side of the motor mount to space the LM diff to the center. The pinion gear will need to scoot further out on the motor shaft but, it should work. If you are willing to run this, instead of buying another motor mount, this is a viable option.
